Study & Teaching Programs of YBEF at MABA

Mindfulness is the core of Chan (Zen) Buddhism practice and MABA follows this lineage, which emphasizes the confluence of the original teachings of the Buddha along with the later teachings of the Mahayana, Middle Way and Chinese teachings. In order to build a firm foundation, we study the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha in depth. Through YBEF’s educational programs, these study groups will allow visitors the opportunity to receive an introduction to Buddhist principles including mindfulness, meditation, chanting, the Four Noble Truths, the Eightfold Path , as well as what it means to take refuge and precepts.
